Went to Bend, Oregon recently for a vacation while my editor worked on Hook, Line, and Sinker (Book 3 in the Ozarks Lake Mystery series). Vacationing while someone else makes progress on your novel—that’s good multi-tasking!
About the above picture: Bigfoot is commonly thought to hang out in the Pacific Northwest, although I don’t believe TSA has him on PreCheck

- Was this AirBnB rental the original prototype for Harry Potter’s room?
- Many Bend homes are well-stocked for the outdoors, but this one with a canoe, double kayak, paddleboard, and single kayak was prepared for every eventuality
- The plan was to go kayaking, but we couldn’t make it to the boat ramp
- Los Angeles’ Botanic Garden, but unusual enough that I thought you’d enjoy this too.
- Smith Rock State Park has >1000 rock climbing paths. I used none of them but did hike around the beautiful area
- Mt. Bachelor is nearby Bend and quite beautiful
