Favorite Pics from a Quick Vacation to Sonoma County
I enjoyed a trip to the Russian River area of Sonoma County. I even returned with an idea for a new series taking place in the area with the protagonist as a retired widower who recently moved to the small riverside town in the mountains to run a guest house. The only problems: 1) people keep dying; 2) he prefers to be a recluse; 3) he mistakenly believes he’s quite the handyman. But first, finish the final edits for book 2 of the Ozarks Lake Mystery series and write book 5 in the Silicon Valley Mystery series!

Beautiful weather and surroundings. Sebastopol was fun to tour, even if some of the neighborhoods seemed a little unsafe. (http://patrickamiot.com)

I enjoyed wandering the neighborhoods of Monte Rio and admiring their great views, but sometimes things got confusing.

Had fun with some of the locals during my vacation—but they were a little stiff. (http://patrickamiot.com)

Bodega Bay took my breath away. Mostly because of the great views, but the 30+mph wind gusts sure added to the effect.

On the left: sheer cliff on mountainside. On the right: sheer cliff into ocean. Not just “Why” did the cow cross the road, but “How”?
